Between December 2013 - December 2014 MySpace’s US traffic grew by 469 per cent, Quartz reported. MySpace numbers are increasing at an enormous rate and now their numbers are even bigger then Vice, Snapchat, and myriads of more websites.

Internet advertising company Specific media owned MySpace for just $35 million and now it is blooming and generating a ginormous amount of revenues. MySpace has built a trust factor among users and stored a whopping 1 billion registered users. Database plays very crucial role in dominating the market and because of database Facebook is playing its game impeccably in developing its user base.

When it comes to online advertising, first-party data is considered the Holy Grail. It means you can confirm you are targeting the actual consumer you aim to be targeting, rather than making probabilistic bets based on cookies and browsing behaviour. MySpace have gained popularity after their rebranding strategies which focus on making MySpace a destination for new music and roping Justin Timberlake in 2011 added an extra value to the brand. The growing popularity of MySpace lure young people too; now they are also signing up MySpace for brand new accounts.
