India, a place which is famous for its rich diversity and culture is now losing its spark. The crime rate in India against women is reeling high at an enormous rate and this needs to stop now. Reshma, a beautiful name with scars on her face; she is brave and resplendent too. Her latest video makeup tutorial, where she addresses girls about how apply lipstick impeccably. But, this video reveals more about the crime and pain the women has to suffer in acid attacks.

In May 2014, her brother in law reportedly threw sulphuric acid in her face while she was out walking with her sister in the north Indian town of Allahabad. She lost her left eye and her face has been filled with scars. Well, her determination set an exemplary for all the women and her continues efforts in fighting against injustice are commendable. Now, she's joined forces with campaign group Make Love Not Scars and asking a government to ban the sale over-the-counter acid.

According to the Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI), as many as 1,000 acid attacks take place every year in India. 90 percent of victims are women.
