Ashley Madison is the biggest dating site where they cheat on their husband or wife by having an extra affair. Earlier, they were in the news when all the private and confidential data of the clients was hacked and uploaded online. Well, with this incident an interesting fact revealed that most of the women’s fake profiles were created to lure more people towards their site. It was reported that up to 90 percent of the profiles on the site were male, and thousands of female profiles were fakes created to lure tons of people to meet up with fantasy women to have an affair.

Annalee Newitz, editor-in-chief at tech blog Gizmodo, downloaded the data to analyze how many women actually used the site. What I discovered was that the world of Ashley Madison was a far more dystopian place than anyone had realized. This isn’t a debauched wonderland of men cheating on their wives. It isn’t even a sadscape of 31 million men competing to attract those 5.5 million women in the database. Instead, it’s like a science fictional future where every woman on Earth is dead, and some Dilbert-like engineer has replaced them with badly-designed robots. She said.

When Newitz checked the data to get more insight of the matter, she found that only 1,492 that belonged to women had ever checked their message inbox. People were camouflaged by Ashley Madison and their notional and fake promises turned out to be expensive.
