Microsoft launched its most anticipated and swashbuckling Windows 10 operating system, however hope for Windows 10 reels high because of their failure of Windows 8 system. The company has opened a reservation system, and those who have reserved upgrade will receive the upgrade via Windows Update starting Wednesday. Here some easy steps to upgrade Windows 10 easily on your PCs, laptops and eligible tablets.

HERE ARE THE STEPS

1) Navigate to "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder and delete all the files.

2) Press the Windows key to open Search and type "Windows Update", which would open Windows Update.

3) Open Search bar and type "cmd". Do not select the Command Prompt option, but instead select Run as Administrator by right clicking on the option.

4) Once the Administrator: Command Prompt box is opened, type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" but do not press enter.

5) Opened Windows Update menu, and click on Check for updates option placed at the right side of the screen. Once clicked, Windows Update should show "Checking for updates..."

6) Meanwhile, go back to the Command Prompt box and then press enter on the command typed before. You would then see Windows Update say it is downloading Windows 10.

The downloading size of Windows update is about 6 GB so, back up all your important files and folders form the system.
