Maggi was leading the market but, suddenly a credibility crisis has shattered their sales completely. The excessive amount of MSG and the existence of lead were found and that to, without informing about it. Monetary losses can be returned but, consumers has blindly faith on Maggi is now under scanner. Knowing the sensitivity of the situation, Nestle’s global CEO Paul Bulcke, tries to defend their flaw by stating that it is completely safe and consumers can consume it.

"The product, Maggi noodles, is safe for consumption,"Bulcke told press conference in Mumbai."Our priority now is to engage all stakeholders to clarify the confusion. We felt that consumer trust was shaken, that's why we took the product off the shelves," Paul Bulcke said. "The tests we have done found no lead. So we are trying to engage with the authorities regarding the test methods they have used, We do not add MSG in Maggi noodles, and Our safety measures and standards are same all over the world. All results that came out indicate that Maggi noodles are safe for consumption,"Bulcke said.

Maggi has been banned in Delhi, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu among others but, West Bengal did not find anything hazardous in Maggi, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said, "Central government had sent a circular to us. We conducted 5 tests in both central and private labs. But we have not received anything inappropriate in these tests. Whatever probe/tests we conducted we did not get anything bad. I don't think it’s correct to randomly ban a product."

Well, this is the most common methods used by the companies and these are the famous one liner they have prepared for the crisis situation but, this time this is very critical situation and it won’t be easy for them to regain the trust of consumers easily. It requires strenuous effort to build the brand but only few seconds to get vanished. Maggi is trying every possible way to revive the situation back to normal.
