President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama host a Passover Seder supper in the Old Family Dining Room of the White House, April 3, 2015.

For the seventh year in succession, President and Mrs. Obama facilitated the yearly White House Seder. The Seder gives a chance to the First Family to join in retelling the narrative of the Israelites' exhausting adventure through the desert from bondage in Egypt to liberation in the Promised Land. In describing the story, they joined their visitors in performing the Seder ceremonies and took after the Haggadah's charge that we see ourselves just as we by and by were freed from Egypt. Also, they recognized how this story has propelled eras of Americans in the battle for social liberties.

The current year's Seder proceeded with another custom of having a visitor culinary specialist. Susan Barocas, one of the inaugural visitor cooks from a year ago – and Washington-based producer and foodie – returned again not long from now to support White House Chef Cris Comerford with the supper and brought new increments to the menu, including Moroccan Haroset Balls from the Sephardic convention, and dishes accentuating occasional fixings, including beets, squash, spring onions, radishes, arugula, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. These formulas were consolidated with family formulas gave by a few of the Seder's actively present people.

The full menu during the current year, arranged by White House Chef Cris Comerford, White House Pastry Chef Susan Morrison, and Susan Baro.
