Asian markets were trading mixed on Tuesday. Stocks on Wall Street posted gains for the second straight session on light trading volumes.

China’s Shanghai Composite declined 0.52 percent or 11.68 points at 2,212.98. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 0.10 percent or 24.84 points at 24,621.18.

Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.35 percent or 52.48 points at 15,183. Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.29 percent or 9.47 points at 3,315.92.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite added 0.24 percent or 4.95 points at 2,044.32. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,167.61.
 
Asian shares traded mixed on early Wednesday after US stocks broke a three-session winning streak as investors kept a cautious eye on geopolitical tensions.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,221.47. Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng was flat at 24,666.03.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei was flat at 15,159.08. Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was down 0.13 percent or 4.18 points at 3,299.21.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite was up 0.16 percent or 3.26 points at 2,044.73. Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,164.40.
 
Asian equities followed their US peers higher on early Thursday after Wall Street overlooked disappointing retail sales data to edge up overnight. Mainland shares were the exception, as Wednesday%u2019s monthly indicators showed signs of weakening in the economy.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei rose 0.60 percent or 90.88 points at 5,304.51. Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was up 0.17 percent or 5.68 points at 3,307.09.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite added 0.22 percent or 4.62 points at 2,066.98.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted gained 0.32 percent or 29.35 points at 9,260.66. China%u2019s Shanghai Composite declined 0.30 percent or 6.65 points at 2,216.23. Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng was flat at 24,880.15.
