In the banking space

ICICI Bank shot up 10.01 percent to USD 51.01 per ADR and its rival HDFC Bank jumped 6.11 percent to USD 46.18.

Among others

Tata Motors gained 2.7 percent to USD 40.68 whereas Dr Reddy’s Laboratories lost 0.25 percent to USD 40.66.

In the technology space

Infosys declined 1.04 percent to USD 53.20 and Wipro slipped 1.19 percent to USD 11.60

The rupee was trading at 58.49/50 per dollar, after hitting 58.47, its strongest since June 18, 2013. The pair had closed at 58.79/80 on Friday.

Among others,

Tata Motors was up 0.64 percent to USD 40.94 whereas Dr Reddy%u2019s Laboratories plunged 4.43 percent to USD 38.86.
