Asian equities traded mixed on Wednesday following an uninspiring lead from US peers and as caution set in ahead of regional central bank decisions.

China’s Shanghai Composite gained 0.63 percent or 12.58 points at 2,020.89. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 23,049.44.

Japan’s Nikkei was flat at 15,799.58. Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,132.86.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.13 percent or 2.51 points at 1,961.38.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.15 percent or 12.54 points at 8,612.44.

Asian markets were trading weak on Thursday. China%u2019s Shanghai Composite fell 0.21 percent or 4.40 points at 2,047.35.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng plunged 1.20 percent or 275.87 points at 22,806.38. Singapore%u2019s Straits Times shed 0.41 percent or 12.85 points at 3,120.89.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite was down 0.66 percent or 12.94 points at 1,957.48. Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 8,619.03. However, Japan%u2019s Nikkei rose 0.30 percent or 47.83 points at 15,868.79.

Asian markets were trading weak on Friday. China%u2019s Shanghai Composite was up 0.11 percent or 2.19 points at 2,044.37.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng shed 0.56 percent or 127.47 points at 22,606.43. Japan%u2019s Nikkei tumbled 1.44 percent or 225.57 points at 15,470.32.

Singapore%u2019s Straits Times slipped 0.52 percent or 16.06 points at 3,084.18. South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite declined 0.67 percent or 13.14 points at 1,934.45. Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 8,590.45.
