Gold futures bounced back in the Asia electronic session today after tumbling to as low as $ 1305.2 an ounce yesterday its lowest level since 17th October 2013. The metal was weighed down by strong gains in the US dollar against the Euro yesterday after the European Commission lowered its forecast for euro-zone growth.

In Asia today, the stocks moved lower, as investors stayed cautious ahead of the U.S. labor report and an important political meeting in China at the end of the week. Japan’s Nikkei was down 0.1%, South Korea’s Kospi was flat, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 0.1% and the Shanghai Composite fell 0.2%.
