I am not sure if such 'too easy' questions are asked in CAT

P=12

I am not sure if such 'too easy' questions are asked in CAT[/QUOTE]

buddy question is a very good one.

The answer is
i) P>=12

why??
because for any three number say a, b and c

AM > GM
so, (a+b+c)/3 > (abc)^1/3

P/3 > (64)^1/3
P > 3*4
P > 12

now if the numbers are same then P=12
so the answer is
P >=12

Now does it seem intelligent ??
Hope so!

Thanks
Premnath

Re: Quantitave appitude - August 30th, 2007

Hi guys
can any one solve it.

Q1. If f(x) = mod of [ (1+x) / (1-x)]

what is the range of x and y for which f(x) + f(y) = (2*(x-y)) / ((1-x)*(1-y))

options:
1) -1<x<1 ; -1<y<1

2) x<-1 ; -1<y<1

3) -1<= x <1 ; y<-1 or y>1

4) x<-1 ; y<-1

Please solve it.
Thanks
Premnath

My take on the above q is option 3)-1<= x <1 ; y<-1 or y>1...Is it correct?
