RESURGENCE- THE AWAKENING
-For sales executive
To address the Sales Executive’s’ perceived problems/attitudinal blockages and their developmental needs, we have designed a 5-day training module for each batch to cover all sales executives. Maximum participants should not exceed 30 per batch for personalized interaction with the faculty and better outcome of training.

»The name of the training module is RESURGENCE with the following topics:

4. Coping with Change
5. 4 C for ensuring employability

5.3 Creativity
5.4 Contribution





»Each topic of the training module is being sub divided in to the following heads i.e,

Topic 1. WORK ETHICS AND JOY OF WORK
a. Objectives :
1. To make them realize their Role & Identity as a partner of the Business Enterprise, to make their work a source of pleasure. To present efficiently in this competitive era.

b. Contents:
• Right attitude towards work
• Dignity of work
• Right and sincere efforts: Key to a better future
• Why we work (the rationale)
• What is ‘joy of work’?
• When work becomes a burden?
• Why and how to enjoy work?
• When work becomes a pleasure?
• Golden Rules for Joy of Work.


c. Methodology
• Brainstorming
• Individual Exercises
• Role play
• Question & Answer

d. Outcome/result of training inputs
• Develop awareness about concept of work ethics.
• Individual Action Plans to incorporate learning.
• Will enjoy work and be honest and sincere at work.

e. Monitoring
• Their team leaders (Reporting Officers) will give individual feedback to the participants in their positive changes on work behavior and further reinforce the work values after a month. This will be coordinated by training Agency.

TOPIC 2. MANAGING STRESS

a. Objectives:
1. To make aware about the phenomenon of stress, its fatal impact on their performance, career and life and how to cope with it, with special reference to work related stress.
2. To familiarize them with how to contribute in building a stress-free work environment through Self Management to optimize their performance.
b. Contents:
• What is stress?
• The root cause of stress
• Stressful thoughts
• Physical symptoms of stress
• Effects of stress
• Stress free life-How
• Check your Steps for freedom from stress
• Improvement in thought process
• Stress management techniques
• Your action plan

c. Methodology:
• Practice and feel exercises
• Brainstorming
• Discussions
• Individual exercises

d. Outcome/Result of Training Inputs:
• Developing awareness about the concept of stress and its root cause.
• Will be able to manage stress through improvement in thought process.
• Develop individual Action Plans for coping with stress.

e. Monitoring:
HR Department will have individual Counseling Sheets for each employee. Location HR head will have one –to –one meeting with each employee on monthly basis, he will LISTEN to the employee, and help him to manage stress, if any (definitely not by preaching) and will follow-up informally with the employee. Training agency will provide the required support and counseling skills.


TOPIC 3. Teamwork and My Role

a. Objectives
1. To drive home the fact that the company is a team and the business is based on
Teamwork. Our own survival depends on better Teamwork.
2. To make them realize the strength and weaknesses in their team-work and where
each one of them can contribute for Optimum Team Performance.

b. Contents:
• TEAM: Meaning and Concept
• Need and Importance of teamwork
• Basic requirements for Teamwork
• Interpersonal Communication in Team
• Resolving Interpersonal Conflicts
• Qualities of an effective team member
• Map your own Teamwork Characteristics
• Self Awareness for better Teamwork
• “SMART” Goals for Teams
• Your action plan

c. Methodology:
• Discussions
• Brainstorming
• Group exercises
• Role play
• Games and Outdoor Exercises

d. Outcome/Result of Training Inputs:
• Realize the importance of teamwork.
• Develop skills to ensure good team-work and become a good team player.

e. Monitoring:
• The team leader (concerned manager) may have weekly/monthly meeting of his team to review Team performance during the week/month and share information/discussions for next week’s/month’s targets, focus areas,etc., give feedback to his team and resolve conflicts between members, if any.
• Similar exercise can be done for higher level teams, i.e., inter-functional/departmental meetings, where lower Team Leaders (managers) become team Members and location/division Head is the Team Leader for a better coordination and synergy between Functional Departments/Teams and their Managers.


TOPIC 4.COPING WITH CHANGE
a. Objectives
1. To make the participants internalize the fact that Change is the only permanent feature of an ever evolving human civilization since centuries and that the change process has become faster with passage of time.(the impact of change that has taken place during the lst 50 years).
2. To help them to develop the will and passion to adapt to the change process in the Organization and life; and live happily.
b. Contents
• Fast changing business environment
• Developing Passion for change to keep pace with changing times
• Challenges ahead for the company in the changing scenario
• Your Attitude & Role to meet the challenges ahead
• Your resolution and action plan
c. Methodology
• Brainstorming
• Case studies
• Question and answers
• Quiz

d. Outcome/Result of Training Inputs
• Develop an awareness about need to quickly adapt to a fast changing environment
• Will be able to face challenges and adapt accordingly

e. Monitoring
In the monthly Team meeting of the departments, one or two Team members may present for 10 to 15 minutes; one or more aspects of change that has taken place and impacting the organization/department, and the employees’ role in it. The Team Leader/manager may share information on likely changes to take place and prepare the members for this.

TOPIC 5. 4 C FOR YOUR EMPLOYBILITY
No company can guarantee lifelong employment, but employees can guarantee their lifelong employability by imbibing 4 Cs, i.e., Commitment, Competence Building, Creativity, and Contribution to the Organization.
This training signifies to accomplishing employees’ career plans and also as per organizations’ expectations from employees.

5.1 1st C: COMMITMENT
a. Objectives:
1. To make them understand that present organization requires new skills with
Commitment for work and loyalty to your professional/ trade. Commitment and
Passion for work is the 1st step for personal achievements.
2. To give them tried and tested tips on how to sustain and enhance their
Commitment for work.

b. Contents:
• What is commitment
• Self-empowerment for “ownership of work”.
• Map your level of Commitment.
• Personality Traits of “Self-empowered” employee.
• Keys to enhance commitment for work.
• Your action plan.

c. Methodology:
• Case analysis
• Individual Exercises
• Brainstorming
• Experimental Learning

d. Outcome/Result of Training Inputs:
• Will enhance their commitment for work
• Develop qualities of an empowered employee.

e. Monitoring:
After a month, and thereafter on quarterly basis, HR department may send employee-wise individual assessment sheets with reference to some parameters to the concerned manager for his assessment.
This will be to measure and see the trend of an employee and record in individual counseling sheet referred earlier.



5.2 2nd C COMPETENCE
a. Objective:
1. To make them realize that all developments are based on self development, which is
a life long process for prosperity, pleasure and peace in life.
2. To help them to identify their strengths and weakness, prepare road map for self
Improvement in terms of knowledge, attitudes, skills and habits.

b. Contents:
• The four pillars of Self Development and how to acquire them( KASH)
• K = Knowledge ( of job and all related areas)
• A = attitude ( towards work, co- employees, superiors and the organization)
• S = Skills ( for new job/technical and non-technical skills)
• H = Habits ( good work habits )
• Self and peer assessment of your KASH
• Benefits of competence building
• Your action plan
c. Methodology:
• Brainstorming
• Peer evaluation
• Self assessment
• Group Exercise
• Video film
• Discussions

d. Outcome/Result of training inputs:
• Will realize the areas of self improvement,
• Will get motivated and make an action plan for self development.

f. Monitoring :
Each employee would prepare a self development plan and have quarterly meeting with his manager, preferably in presence of location HR head who would be a facilitator for self development efforts of the employees.


5.3 3rd C Creativity

a. Objectives:
With changes all around, each employee needs to think creatively to do the things better than yesterday by continuous small improvements in terms of productivity cost reduction , better service to internal and external customers, safety, maintenance, house keeping, etc. the collective and cumulative impact of such individual small improvements may rum into millions of rupees with practically zero investment .
b. Contents
• What is creativity and innovation?
• Why creativity is essential in changing scenario
• Realize one’s creative abilities
• Continuous improvement through creativity
• Your action plan

c. Methodology
• Creativity exercise
• Problem solving
• Work and work place exercise
• Assignment learning

d. Outcome/Result of Training Inputs:
• Develop awareness on the concept, need and importance of creativity & their creative skills so that they can apply in their work for improvement.
e. Monitoring
During Training, each employee will write at least one idea for improvement in his work as follows:
1. What is the present status?
2. What are the problems we face?
3. What improvement will they suggest?
4. Benefits after making the improvement?

5.3 4th C: Contribution
a. Objective

Zero Defect work / service: To awaken them for total focus on quality and zero errors in their work
Personal Productivity: To motivate and enhance their productivity
Self-Motivation and Initiatives: To awaken them for challenging assignments, volunteer for more and higher responsibilities, accomplishing tasks without supervision
Wastage control and loss prevention: To initiate the need for cost reduction through wastage control and loss prevention
Self discipline: To strengthen their conviction of self discipline in order to facilitate an organization culture

e. Monitoring
A register might be maintained in each department and in case of any defect in work his customer & the superior will write it down in the register. The manager will discuss all entries in the register in the monthly team meetings so that others also learn. Company may organize a zero defect service day after all employees undergo training and imbibe the concept of zero defect as a way of life.
