SWOT ANALYSIS ON Local Matters - November 30th, 2010

Local Matters is a privately held Delaware corporation based in Denver, Colorado [1] created through a merger between Aptas, Inc. and ISx, and YP Solutions announced on May 23, 2005 [2]. In October 2005, Local Matters acquired Online Web Marketing, the makers of AreaGuides.net.

Local Matters provides Internet, voice, and wireless technology solutions for media publishers in the local search market.[3] Technology solutions are targeted to directory publishers and real estate groups worldwide with a focus on local, social search.

ISx was merged with Aptas, Inc. and YP Solutions in 2005 and has since been renamed Local Matters Voice and Wireless Division, Inc. The company is based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida [7]. Local Matters Voice and Wireless Division, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Local Matters and retained the CEO from ISx.
