The Common Entrance Test � Maharashtra (CET) is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education and is accepted by over 80 Institutes in Maharashtra.
The written test was previously held in May or June , however for the last three years it is being conducted in the month of February. The GD / PI are conducted in June / July.
The Total marks are 240 and the distribution is as follows
Written Test 200 marks
Group Discussion 17 marks
Personal Interview 17 marks
Academic record 4 marks
Work experience 2 marks
CET 2005 was a 2-� hour paper consisting of 200 questions. Each question carried 1 mark, with no negative marking. It tests the following areas:
Reading Comprehension
Verbal Ability
Logical Reasoning
Quantitative Ability
Analytical Reasoning
Mathematical Reasoning
Visual Reasoning
Data Interpretation
Data Sufficiency
Eligibility:
Eligibility criteria for admission against the seats coming under CAP (Centralised Allotment Process) In order to secure admission through CAP to this first year of two-year full Time MBA/MMS course, the candidate should fulfill the following
Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of backward Class candidates from Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.
OR
Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.
Appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2005), GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority for the academic year 2005-2006.
Eligibility criteria for admission under Foreign National / foreign Student / PIO / Management seats:
The first two clauses are same as above.
Appeared for CAT (conducted by IIMs) / JMET (conducted by IITs) / MAT(conducted by AIMA) / ATMA (conducted by AIMS) / XAT (conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to MBA/MMS for the academic year 2005-06.Such candidates are required to appear for GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes.
OR
Appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2005), GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority for the academic year 2005-2006.
OR
Any other equivalent examination conducted for the academic year 2005-06.
Eligibility criteria for admissions under Minority seats in Minority institutes:
The candidate should belong to the minority community / group for which the institute has secured minority status.
Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the association of Indian Universities.
OR
Appeared for CAT (conducted by IIMs) / JMET (conducted by IITs) / MAT(conducted by AIMA) / ATMA (conducted by AIMS) / XAT (conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to MBA/MMS for the academic year 2005-06. Such candidates are required to appear for GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes.
OR
Appeared for CET conducted by agency (including Association of all colleges of a particular type in the State) approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samiti Bandra (E), Mumbai-51 for the academic year 2005-06. Such candidates are required to appear for GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes.
OR
Appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2005), GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority for the academic year 2005-2006.
Age Limit:
There is no age limit for admission into the MBA/MMS degree courses.
Please note:
Maharashtra University students are those who pass their qualifying examination from any statutory university located in Maharashtra
Outside Maharashtra students are those who pass their qualifying examination from statutory universities located outside Maharashtra
NRI seats are reserved for sons and daughters of Non Resident Indians (NRIs). These will be payment seats and have a different pay structure compared to normal seats.
Supernumerary Seats are meant for foreign nationals/Foreign students and Persons Of Indian Origin (PIOs).

You dont need to post for saying "thanks". Merely using the 'thanks' button would suffice. It is for this reason that the character count has been kept to a min of 50 words to discourage the users from posting one-word posts.

Gaurav, there is a lot of time for CET.
The forms are not available yet and when they are available, you can collect them from SBI .
The Notice will be put on MP so relax and prepare for CAT, NMAT, SNAP etc which are up soon

hi everybody
gaurav, thanx for the enormous effort u hav put in helping others thru so many sites. the CET notification will come by December/January in all leading newspapers n on the official site for the CET viz is http://www.dte.org.in. if anyone has CET papers (hard/soft copy) plz let me know. i m even ready to buy them.
