Lightbulb How to get through a Personal Interview!! - May 21st, 2009

A Personal Interview is a dialogue between you and an interviewer/s....
It is a setting where one's being is asked about, his knowledge, his talents, abilities, his competences, his interests, his career plan is accessed so that the interviewer can derive whether the candidate will be the right potential contributor individual for the particular institution or organization....

But how do you get through the interview...

Firstly you got to arrange all your documents, certificates, according to year wise of academic completions in a file folder...
Then you got to make a Resume and a Covering letter...
Prepare yourself for the interview by learning of the company you are going to (The information can be found in websites and books)
Understand the nature of the job you are applying to...know the pros and cons..

On the day of interview, iron your clothes (wear strictly only formal wear - boys and girls)
Leave your home early to reach the location well in time.... (cause you never know about the traffic that'll come your way)

When you're in the center, ask and respond positively to the gatekeepers (they are the keys to your getting leads for your interview)
When you're sitting in a queue awaiting your turn, do not make noise or sit in an pitiful manner that would create a bad impression

When you're turn comes, knock on the door, and ask permission to enter..
Then ask whether you may sit.... When permission is given then only sit...

While responding to the interviewers questions, be polite and always display enthusiasm....
Don't use a high tone or a very low tone while speaking... Keep a mid - tone

Smile once in a while when the moment is light... Don't be rigid... Interviewer's like a individual who have a pleasant appearance...

Display respect for the interviewers position, company, and interest in working with team...Display assertiveness...

While leaving get up slowly and put the chair in the right place....
Say a thank you to the panelist and leave by closing the door slowly on your way out...

These all add to your credentials and will surely get you close to getting that job or entrance you need in that organisation...

So go on and make the best of what you are!!!
