As a reflection of the needs of a good corporate image, CNN-IBN will be promoting the Indian Blind Cricket team for the Third Blind Cricket World Cup being played currently in Pakistan. The organization considers the event and the cause to be close to its hearts. The channel has devised an interesting line-up of programming for the World Cup to ensure its maximum and all-round coverage. The channel will present the essence of the Blind World Cup in their sports bulletin – Sports 360. The show will basically feature the highlights of the day’s match in conjunction with famous personalities like VVS Laxman (who is incidentally the Brand Ambassador for the ACBI – Association for Blind Cricket in India), Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. In addition, the channel will also feature training sessions and exclusive tips.

CNN-IBN Marketing Head Dilip Venkataraman in response to this initiative says “The Blind World Cup is truly a global cricketing event providing a unique and rare opportunity to see the best come together on the playing field. With players from diverse nationalities, demonstrating varied skills and expertise, the game will redefine the meaning of teamwork, passion and commitment. It is these values that resonate with our belief of “whatever it takes” and hence it was a natural choice to support the Indian team in the prestigious Blind World Cup.”

ACBI Chairman, George Abraham also thanked this CNN-IBN initiative by saying “CNN-IBN has a track record of commercial involvement in top class events and I am delighted they have chosen to extend this association to the Blind World Cup. I am confident that the huge TV audiences the event will attract will provide an outstanding return on their investment in terms of brand awareness and the positive association of being involved in an esteemed cricket event of such nature.”
