The Chief Executive Officer of the commission exercises powers and discharge functions in respect of general superintendence over the affairs of the commission and its day-to –day management.
In addition to the exercise of powers and discharge of functions, the C.E.O will be;

I. Responsible for the furnishing of all returns, reports and statements required to be furnished to the Central Government.

II. It is the duty of the Chief Executive Officer to place before the Commission for its consideration and decision any matter of financial importance if the Financial Adviser suggests to him in writing that such matter be placed before the Commission.



The Financial Adviser is the in-charge of the financial matters of the commission including its budget, accounts and audit; it is the duty of the Financial Adviser to bring to the notice of the Commission through the Chief Executive Officer any matter of financial importance, which, in his opinion, requires consideration and decision by the Commission.
