Khadi, a new dimension:-
Khadi a magic woven by hands, Khadi is handspun and hand – woven fabric made largely out of natural fibres like wool, cotton and silk. Mahatma Gandhi, Father of Indian Nation, made khadi the fabric of millions. Khadi became a potent symbol of the resurgence of India’s rural industries. Khadi, a handmade, eco – friendly product has given India a unique identity. The effort put in by various people at various stages gives it a character of its own, imbuing it with a ‘human touch’! Khadi today co – exists with the most modern spinning and weaving mills and has the potential to make a place for itself in the international textile scene.

Khadi or Khaddar is a term for handspun and hand-woven cloth from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan primarily made out of cotton.

The cloth is primarily woven from Hemp and may also include silk, or wool, which are all spun into yarn on a spinning wheel called a charkha. It is a versatile fabric, cool in summer and warm in winter.

Khadi clothes are purely handmade and it looks simple and beautiful. There are various types of khadi like Khadi Kurtie for ladies, Cotton khadi sarees, Khadi jackets for gents, and many more. Get the khadi collection at Khadi bhandar in Amravati.
