We are an innovative service provider in the knowledge sector.

Our core business is scientifically sound and practically relevant education and further education for management functions in companies of different areas of operation, sizes and countries. To this end we maintain close contacts with companies through joint projects, integrating lecturers who are also active managers and internship semesters for our students.
Our Basic Principles:

Internationality Arbeitsgruppe im Freien
through study content, an international team of lecturers, studying in small multi-national semester groups and mandatory study semesters abroad. Currently about one third of the lectures on the BA in Internationale Betriebswirtschaft are taught in English, while the BA in International Business Management and MBA program are taught entirely in English.

Close Ties to Business Partner-Firmen
through professors and lecturers with extensive business experience, at least one internship semester, company visits, project studies and close cooperation with companies - your future employers!

Shaping the Individual Team Working Together
through integrating the living and the learning.
Adding to this is the students' active contribution to shaping the university through numerous student initiatives (AstA, IB Consulting, etc.). The goal is to develop a responsible, internationally mobile and confident personalitywith key qualifications such as the ability to work in a team, committment and perseverance.

Focusing on the Future support
through the use of modern, interactive teaching methods (business games, computer-based teaching) as well as the inclusion of current international issues in our teaching content.

is the measure of our work.
Individual responsibility and open communication as well as a culture of mutual trust and respect are the basis of our quality control system. students and professors alike contribute to our continuous improvement process. To ensure a continuing improvement of or study programs for the future, the Faculty of International Business is currently undertaking the re-accreditation of all our programs through FIBAA, following the excellent results achieved during their initial accreditation 2004 / 2005..

MBA (full-time)

The full-time MBA at Furtwangen University is a general management MBA. It empowers our students with the knowledge, skills and experience that will prepare them for their careers in the global business world. Various practice-oriented international business courses are designed to offer students a broad and challenging learning experience, while small class sizes enable us to maintain a supportive leaning environment within a unique ‘familiy’ culture.

Executive MBA


Aufbauend auf mehr als 150 Jahren Historie der Hochschule Furtwangen und der guten Akzeptanz der seit Jahren etablierten Studiengänge in Internationaler Betriebswirtschaftslehre bietet die Fakultät Wirtschaft seit 2003 den berufsbegleitenden Studiengang „Executive MBA“ in International Business Management an. Die Teilnehmer erhalten nach Abschluss den staatlich anerkannten akademischen Grad „MBA – „Master of Business Administration“.

Die Zielgruppe für diesen berufsbegleitenden Studiengang sind Berufstätige mit Studienabschluss und Interesse an zusätzlicher Managementkompetenz. Gerade bei Führungskräften mit technischem, naturwissenschaftlichem oder juristischem Hintergrund existiert ein solcher Bedarf. Das international orientierte Programm richtet sich aber auch an Wirtschaftswissenschaftler, die ihre internationalen Kompetenzen ausbauen möchten. Im Rahmen des Programms erhalten Sie eine breite, langfristig tragfähige Wissensbasis in Form von betriebswirtschaftlicher Fachkompetenz, Führungskompetenz und internationaler Kompetenz.

Die Globalisierung hat den Wettbewerbsdruck auf den internationalen Märkten massiv verstärkt. Der intensive Wettbewerb sorgt für eine rasche Veränderung der Marktbedingungen, für immer kürzere Produkt- und Prozesszyklen. Führungskräfte in den Unternehmen und die Mitarbeiter stellen einen wesentlichen Faktor dar: Ihr Wissen und Können sind der Schlüssel zum langfristigen Erfolg jedes Unternehmens.

Alle Akteure der Wirtschaft brauchen mehr Wissen – und in immer schnelleren Zyklen neues Wissen, die Führungskräfte an erster Stelle. Wer die Spielregeln der Informations- und Wissensgesellschaft nicht beherrscht, verschenkt leichtfertig Wettbewerbsvorteile für sein Unternehmen.
