The American College of Thessaloniki (ACT)
Dear ACT Visitor,
As you may know, ACT is the higher education division of Anatolia, an integrated educational center now well into its second century of service to Greek and international youth. Our school evolved from a seminary established near Constantinople in 1840, took the name Anatolia College in 1886, and was relocated to Thessaloniki, Greece in 1924. ACT offers a four-year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science program and 1-2 year MBA with 500 students from over 20 countries and accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the accrediting body for Harvard and MIT. We are proud to have the Bissell Library, inaugurated in 2002 and one of the most sophisticated facilities of its kind in Southeast Europe, including also the Stavros Niarchos Technology Center.
For international visitors to the site, I would like to call your attention to opportunities for regular undergraduate or graduate enrollment at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), and to the Study Abroad Program, which also includes a well-built and popular summer program. ACT is international in scope, and 35% of its graduates go on to prestigious graduate programs in the U.S., such as the Harvard Business School, or study in Europe while others go directly into Greek, regional and international businesses. Costs are as little as one fifth those of U.S. colleges, and a growing number of US students are drawn by the prospect of a fully accredited US degree at an affordable tuition in this safe and welcoming Mediterranean environment. Our various Study Abroad options, including the summer sessions, are an ideal opportunity to “rehellenize” and to discover the beauties of ancient and modern Greece, its people and language. Our host city, Thessaloniki, named for the sister of Alexander the Great, is a paradise for young people - safe, friendly, and rich in history.
With a truly international student body, ACT provides a global learning environment. Greek students acquire the business and technology skills, as well as the peripheral vision, to compete on an equal footing with counterparts across the EU. Balkan students find ACT to be the preferred springboard to jobs with multinationals and NGOs or to graduate studies abroad. Americans, in turn, are able to experience the globalization phenomenon firsthand and to see the United States from a European perspective and as it looks to the world abroad.

Individuals who are now in management positions and wish to refine their skills and advance their careers.
