The Business School
UC3M Campus
The Business School – Department of Business Administration - was founded in 1993 and is responsible for teaching and research activities in all business-related areas: Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing.
The mission of the School is to conduct high quality business-related research publishable in the leading international academic journals; and to provide high quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Program
The Master of Business Administration is a one-year program which was first launched in 1997. It is delivered in two versions: English Version and Spanish Version. In 2005 the MBA programme was accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the most important international accrediting bodies and the only with an exclusive focus on MBA programs. There are only five AMBA-accredited programs in Spain.
The mission of the MBA Program is to provide professional business education based on high academic standards. The MBA Program takes advantage of the most relevant business research in order to provide an education that lasts and enables our graduates to pursue fruitful careers upon graduation. Through its curriculum the MBA Program also improves the practical skills and attitudes that are needed to succeed in today’s business world.
The School has an attractive exchange program with Arizona State University (ASU) whereby some of UC3M’s MBA graduates can spend an additional year there, entering ASU’s MBA program as second-year students.
The Faculty
The MBA has a total of 44 professors. 93 per cent have a PhD Degree and 95 per cent have a graduate (doctoral or Master’s) degree. Most of the MBA teaching staff has permanent affiliation with the Department of Business Administration, one of Spain’s most selective business education centers. Faculty members of other departments within UC3M and highly-skilled outside professional also contribute to create an exciting learning environment.
