Established in 1991, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s School of Business and Management (HKUST Business School) is widely recognized as one of the youngest but most respected business schools in Asia. Its faculty is known as one of the most qualified in the world. Its capabilities in research are at the forefront in the Asia-Pacific and are also well regarded internationally. HKUST Business School was the first school in Asia to be awarded dual accreditation by the US-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

Your full-time MBA is a major financial commitment so planning ahead is essential.

Program Fee
The program fee for the Full-time MBA program intake 2008 is HKD320,000 (subject to final approval by the University). Program fee for both 12-month and 16-month program is the same since they both require 52 credits.

The program fee covers tuition, MBA Residential Program, textbooks for required cores, course materials, and some enrichment activities.

Upon offer acceptance, students are required to pay a deposit of HKD50,000 (USD 6,500). The rest of the program fee will be paid in two installments.
Estimate Expenses
The table below gives an estimate of how much you expect to spend when taking the HKUST MBA program over 12 months:
HKD USD (eqv)
MBA Tuition Fee (for 2008/09) $320,000 $41,000
Accommodation on Campus $ 36,000 $ 4,600

Students who opt for the one-semester exchange program will continue to pay HKUST tuition fees for the credits transferred from exchange schools. Travel and living expenses vary according to the location of exchange schools and are not included in the above estimate.

If you are not a Hong Kong resident, you will also need to apply for a student visa, which means you must show you have sufficient financial resources to cover expenditure during your studies.
