Nowadays we get lots of questions from applicants contemplating applying to round 3 or not to global B-Schools, so I just thought of sharing some perspectives....
Its not automatically a bad idea to apply in round 3 , at the same time , round 3 is when most B-Schools have made admission offers to previous round candidates and thus the number of places remaining are more limited. Mathematics aside, here are a few reasons you should consider applying: you don't believe your application could get stronger next year ? For e.g. your GMAT score is possibly your best or your age takes you 'over the tilt' of the average age. Equally , if you have some unique(justifiable) reason that you could not catch a previous deadline or have a truly unique profile but were not sure if you shd apply at all or not . So there are a variety of reasons for considering applying whilst always remembering that if any or most of the above are not true, we advise our clients to wait for next year .
Finally, if none of the above is true and you are still targeting a top school , its likely that you are pushing your luck and better to wait ...
