Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management

IISWBM invites application for admission to the two year MBA (Session 2007-2009) and
two year MHRM (Session 2007-2009) Degree Courses of Calcutta University

Last date of issue and receipt of completed application form is: December 6, 2006
Classes will commence in July 2007

Eligibility: Honours degree in any discipline/graduate in any professional course (Eng., etc). LLB (5 years) of a recognised university. Those who will be appearing at such examinations within June 2007 may also apply.
Selection: Through Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT for shortlisting the candidates for the two year full-time MBA & MHRM Degree Course in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST or persons of Disability category) to be eligible to appear for CAT.
For admission to IISWBM, one has to apply to CAT and also apply separately to IISWBM for which brochure and application forms are to be obtained from IISWBM. The last date of issue of CAT bulletins from designated UTI Bank's branches/Post offices is 17.08.2006 and from IIMs 21.08.2006.
On the basis of the CAT score, IISWBM will call selected candidates, who have applied to IISWBM,
for group discussion and interview at the Institute.
Application form & brochure of individual course: Available from the Reception counter of IISWBM on cash payment of Rs.700/- or against bank draft of Rs.775/- payable on any Bank at Kolkata in favour of
the Institute from 01.08.2006.
