Here are some of the frequently asked questions for Admissions 2013-2015 at SSBM

What is the degree provided after the completion of the course?
Master of Business Administration – Banking Management
Are there any hostel facilities?
Being a residential full-time course of 2 years, hostel facility is provided for the students.
Is the internet facility provided?
We have 24/7 Internet facility in classrooms and hostel rooms.
Are laptops provided to students?
No. Laptops are not provided. Students have to get their own laptops.
What is the Dress Code?
The dress code is formals from Mondays to Thursdays, Smart Casuals on Fridays and Sundays, Uniform on Saturdays and whenever there are Guest lecturers, presentations or any formal event.
Formals include:
Boys: Formal trouser and shirt.
Girls: Can choose from a western formal (long skirt/ trouser with a collared shirt and scarf or jacket) or Indian formal (Formal salwar kameez complete with dupatta OR saree which is draped in a manner suited for an office environment).
The uniform is provided by the college (Trouser, shirt, tie & blazer for boys and Saree for girls)
How do I apply?

Simple, you need to register for SNAP and then apply to SSBM through their website. (Symbiosis School of Banking Management)

What form of work experience is given weightage to within the Selection Criteria?
While work experience of a candidate in any area is a notable aspect, preference and weightage will be given to those with prior experience in the BFSI industry and to engineers who have worked in consultancies on projects in these domains.
Summer placements info?
The aim of Summer Internship Recruitment Programme (SIRP) is to assist the students seeking projects, learning profiles in various Banking and Financial Sector Industries (BFSI) as per the guidelines laid down by the institution vis a vis summer internships. BFSI includes all the public sector banks (SBI, BoB, BoI, and IDBI etc.), private sector banks (ICICI, Axis, HDFC etc.), Foreign banks (HSBC, Deutsche, etc.) and other non banking financial companies (NBFCs). NBFCs also include financial consulting firms, Investment firms, Insurance companies and others. Students are also given guidance on the process related to internships at Government of India Undertakings like RBI, NABARD, and DEA, Govt. of India.
Is it compulsory to take up Hostel accommodation?
Being a residential full-time course of 2 years, it is mandatory for the students to take up hostel accommodation.
What about ragging?
Ragging is totally prohibited in Symbiosis International University and in its Constituent institutes and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging whether actively or passively, or being a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force. To ensure a congenial and welcoming environment to the freshers, the University has formed 4 committees as per UGC Regulation 2009 to curb ragging on the campus.
