Why would talented folks join your startup?

Here are a few points to ponder for entrepreneurs :
  • Belief in the idea: If your startup idea resonates with others, they will want to work with you and make your passion their own.
  • Stake: Aha, so it is about money too! Well, to an extent, yes! People do get attracted to the idea of getting a stake in a growing company. After all, who doesn’t know the story behind David Choe, the graffiti artist, who chose stock over cash, and became a millionaire overnight?
  • Innovation: Startups encourage out of the box thinking. People love it as their creativity is unleashed.
  • Flexihours: They are not required to conform to 9-5 working hours and they can work from home, and in their sweats.
  • Culture: Startups are different from big organizations, and their culture is more open, warm and transparent.

Totally agree with you. I worked for a startup when I was a fresher for some reasons:
1. Open culture
2. Friendly boss and colleagues
3. Startup spirit sharing among people (we consider our product as our child)
4. Multi-task job (where I can learn a lot)
5. Flexibility of working hours
