THere can never be another depression because of the fiat system. We've also the central bank (Federal) so we can merely borrow from the future and print more money when required, during the 'great' depression, I believe Morgan played a big part in creating market uncertainty through rumours and causing market crashes as banks went bankrupt.

It is yet to be seen, hopefully Lehman Brothers doesn't create a domino effect on other banks holding bad loans, that have already began to see bad signs in the finance sector.

I wouldn't count on it. Lehman's creditors will file suit to stop any type of payout under a severance package since the creditors are supposed to get first shot at all the assets.
