I feel there is no binary yes or no answer to this question. The education sytem is good in some respects but there is a huge scope for improvement.
Like, quality education is still not availabale to a huge chunk of people. there ar epeople who have completed their entire education but would still find it difficult to multiply or divide.
At the same time, education has spread to even the remotest villages and the idea of education being 'bad' or 'unfit for girls' have been trampled and people are welcoming education with open arms.
As in every case, we cannot rest on our laurels, there is still a lot more to be done.
Thanks !

If we look at the syllabus, then its at par with other international schools curriculum. Regular revision is also done and syllabi is kept updated nowadays.
The only difference is lack of infrastructure and lack of motivation to teach. The pathetic condition of education system in semi-urban and rural areas tells all the story.

I wud say the current education system is preparing tape-recorders with its rote-based learning. This definitely need to change.Industry statistics tells tht 70% of the students coming out of the college are not unemployable. They are lacking in soft skills. Moreover our curriculum hasn't changed for decades. So we are still studying the technology of 70's and 80's which are extinct now.The curriculum doesn't encourage the students for doing reasearch. Our education system certainly needs a drastic change in a short span of time.

Dear Friends,
Prevaling education system ,creeps on with the old - fashioned pedagogy with details of past glory , scripts , science and maths. It does not contains about the contemporary world details , latest developments, burning and social issues , with lack of practical insights on emerging and concurrent industries .
It leads to a mere bookish knowledge , with hard principles and makes the person selfish and jealous to score and compete with others .
It does not lead to holistic development of a person ,both in personal and professional world. Course Curriculum updation in NCERT Books also takes place once in a blue moon , and provides less space for the practical world. Current awareness with sense of judgement along with change in style of text narration will bring change in our education system.
Either the studies must be in dialogue form or in sensituive case type followed by real examples will give a new dimension to our education system .
New topics like Nanotechnology , Mechatronics, Bio-informatics , Genetically modified foods & Sex education , are to be added in the course curriculum to appropriate classes .
