Boarding School can be the best thing that can happen to a child if the choice of the school is good.
-They learn to be independant
-They learn to respect relationships after staying away from their close ones.
-They learn to interact with people from diverse background and communities.
-They learn the soft skills alongwith the necessary education.
-They tend to learn all the games and sports
-More importantly they learn to participate in events and even organize them.
_They are not shy of anything.

I don't aggree, It really depend on the kid. The top boarding schools can be excellent for very mature kids who need more than their local schools offer academically and socially. The schools know who will benefit, so chances are if your kid can get in, they will thrive.

boarding makes children away from their parents. hence the affection between parents and children lacks here. i will say that boarding schools are not good.........

I have studied in a boarding school since Class III.
I went to christian missionary schools in Darjeeling and Mussoorie.
They are not very expensive like the top league boarding schools but they are committed to making you an independant and selfless person.
I too stayed away from my parents and I was the only son.
I respect my parents more now. Every small holiday, I go back to them even after my marriage alongwith my Kids and Wife. So its not true that the bond between parents and the child decreases.
Children can be moulded but only upto a certain age. This age is coming down quickly. If you keep your children for a long time with you and then send them to a boarding school then definitely they would not be moulded much by the school.
So, to get the best out of a boarding school the child should be admitted by Class V.

According to me no boarding school is not beneficial to children this is because the way children are nourished and enhance in the care of parents that doesn't happen in boarding schools. Atleast there is a vigilance kept by parents all the time what the children are doing.
