Is IT good or Bad?

This is time to think abt this q.I agree that IT is one field that changed the face of India in the global arena.It has increased the avg salary of the teenagers.It has increased the avg consumer spending.These all look good.But getting a step fwd will reveal the exact picture.First and foremost is the huge spike in the rentals and cost of the buying a house.Houses worth 20lakhs, 5 yrs ago are now trading @ 50 lakhs.Even the rentals of the houses are nt affordable for even the IT ppls also.Currently no one is able to buy a house for less than 40 lakhs even in outskirts of the cities.After metros the current movement of IT companies to Tier-2 cities is causing the same prblm.Slowly, the rate/sq foot are raising in T-2 cities.House rate never seem to abate in the recent future.No wonder abt the increase in the no.of vehicles in the streets which ultimately leads to the increase in fuel consumption.Already oil is quoting @ $126/barrel.The increase in salary esp in IT field is compensated by the high rentals,fuel prices and inflation.So the % of savings is gng to remain the same as it was before IT came into picture.The bad seem to overtake the good.

Nothing is good & bad . If it gives happiness to someone without harming anyone ,The subject under consideration can be percieved as good .Otherwise bad .

If you look at the +ve side of it you have lot of reasons to be happy.

I think this growth ignites your mind to find out a way how to come out of this situation other wise you still live like a dum guy.

guys, IT is not just abt money.. It has more or less taken the Vision away from India's Youth... Today, every young guy wants to become an engineer so that he can work for an Infy or a TCS or a Wipro just for Fat pay cheques...

No one really cares as to what kind of jobs are involved / work profile .. Future of IT industry, or student's area of interest.. Thus i think IT is taking away the most important formation years from the youth of India...

Progress, in general, is very good...
Progress, in a field like IT is specially good, bcoz it indicates knowledge and information based advancement.
And IT maybe one of the contributors to the problems mentioned above, but is it actually the major reason or the only reason for the same?
