Recently,CJI created a controversy stating tht RTI act is nt applicable for his office. He categorised himself stating that CJI is not a public servant but a constitutional authority. But he is actually a Govt servant. So,according to the RTI act any Govt servant falls under the ambit of the act.So CJI should also obey this law. This discussion raised when the judges were req to be produce their assets. So is the RTI applicable for Supreme court?

yes...the authorities responsible for justice should be transparent. They r nt a private firm so they r govtn bodies n equally liable to the show the transparency in the acquistion of their asstes as any other govtn body is. Their reluctance shows that they r tryng to manipulate their assets. | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
