It doesn't depend on the type of product rather depends on the type of cutomer class targeted. E.g mobile, belongs to most of the people but the brand like Vertu....how many do we find??

I was going to type the same thing. Definitely depends on the sector and industry. Niche marketing can be highly profitable and it can be cause for bankruptcy. As they say, look for low supply and high demand, then take it by the horns and monopolize

Niche marketing strategy mainly depends on competition in the market.It once used as tool to survive in the market due to lack of resources.but its huge success has changed it in a specialized strategy to increase profitability.

And also since you are targeting at a particular grp to market ur products/services, you actually save on the advertising & marketing costs, so its easier to get a greater revenue in this segment. this is possible coz ur can actually chrge a higher price as u r a specialist in serving the niche segment for tht particular product/service provided ur quick and effecient
