I completely, and utterly disagree on the aspects of this. Within the office or a workplace, it is best not to associate yourself romantically with anyone, no matter the gender. I think we are in an office to work, not practice mating roles at given any levels!
Employees getting intimate results in so many many legal, social and cultural implications for a company, especially in Asia. Not to mention loss of productivity with psychological conflict of interests and even politics. What happens if you break up? You no longer are professional enough to work together, and the company suffers! We aren't as efficient enough after such relationships.
There are, in the end, more bad than any good for anyone on such issues. That's the reason why most MNCs have a clear protocol regarding relationships within the office. A good number of companies may fire employees for this (as part of their contractual agreement). And you cannot argue against it because they are right.
