Serve the country if you avail an educational loan

Govt of India is lending loans for the poor and those who can't pay the education fees. This loan is availed by 90% of the people of Top B-schools for their post graduation and those who go abroad for higher studies.Sadly they all go to US ,UK and other destination(except India) once they get a job.Needless to say abt an IIM/IIT Pass-out.They all land dream-jobs in New York or some dream destination.Even they enjoy a interest-free moratorium period for such loans.Students don't have to submit any security for availing the loan. What is the gain for the country for funding their education? Can the Govt of India make it mandatory for all people to serve the country for
atleast a couple of Yrs after their graduation if they have availed an educational loan
.It is the duty of every citizen to serve the motherland.Even in developed countries there is a mandatory period for all citizens to serve in the military.

Can we have the above rule.So watz ur view on this?

Hi!
I appriciate and respect your views. Your major worry is about people getting educated by money borrowed in India, but give returns to companies of other countries. Brain drain is a major problem faced by India today. There are many Indian people working for other countries rather than for India.
This trauma is unacceptable!:SugarwareZ-064:
Even few months back I read a news article saying that the scientists in India are being resourced or rather draged by the foreign companies showing carrrot of high pay packages.
But to reduce this Braindrain the Indian companies are also trying thier level best. There are also companies in India who hire manager of hefty packages. Last year the MBA grad from ISB, Who got highest paypackage of above 1crore was recruited by an INDIAN COMPANY!!!! So this was the start of the movement. Rencently there was a news about IIT grads that the no. of people accepting the foriegn assinment jobs has reduced by 40%!!!

So lets have our fingers crossed............. and hope for the BEST!!!!

There is nothing called intrest free rate. Interest is levied right from the day the loan is dispensed to the student. Only relief they give is they dont ask you to pay the EMI during the time of education but the interest is levied.
Coming to the question of loan with out any security think you are ill informed. Every education loan issued by the banks the parents/guardian are made co-applicant of the loan. There is no collateral security for loans up to 4 lakhs. But collateral is required once the loan amount crosses the 4 lakh mark. For MS or MBA in US/UK/Sing min amount required is 9-10 lakhs. Hence your argument of banks issuing loans easily is a myth.

what i think is serving the country is a imbibed thinking of the individual which cannot be made through forcing out any one... so it cannot be made any rule regarding this....

To work for motherland.. should come from there heart.. and forceful act of goverment will not give the actual results...

but looking at the present senerio.. as India is developing.. and leadership here is also challanging...it seems that people prefer to work here, rather going abroad... even IIMs also had rejected the foreign offers.

there can be lots of solutions.. but being a democratic country we cannot force these decisions on them...and they will have a good justification of y they are going abroad and serving other country.... india is changing..and changing for goood... the process will be reversed not only individuals but the enviorment also matters and to change that india needs time ...we are working towards that
