Cool Balanced & Equal Development of India is going on or not ? - 4 Weeks Ago

I know title of post is bit confusing as you all will say that India is a developing country but i have choosed this topic for discussion as i think what is happening in India is not exactly a development because cities are only developing and availing benefits of economic growth but our rural areas, villages are still in very bad conditions.

For Ex- Indian villages still lack electricity, roads, transport, etc.
So what i want is your suggestions, ideas and opinion on balanced development of India so that every one will get benefit of economic growth and development opportunities and also what we should do for rapid development of country like which type of businesses, industries, marketing, etc we need for this and how to develop rural areas what type pf development should be done in rural areas.

Equal development is still a dream 4 our country. It may take decades before it happens in our country. V can learn so much in this regard 4m countries like US, UK where some fantastic work has been done.

V all should vote then only our politicians will care 4 us .

If only 1 class is voting then they will only give reservations and no real work will b done 4 d overall development.

]The problem about India's growth story is that it is neither equitable with respect to different classes of people nor it is equally distributed within different regions of India. The growth model is heavily top-down , skewed in favor of the service sector growth model, and leans excessively on external sources for development. The whole design is based on the diktat of multilateral funding agencies like the world bank and IMF and has nothing to do with enhancing agricultural or rural development. More than 80% of India's potential work force is still dependent on agriculture and any model that does not address this reality is bound to be distorted and unequal.

With heavy concentrations of development activities taking place in urban areas, people in rural areas are being left behind...

However during the last two decades, significant development efforts in India have improved the quality of life for many... is an accepted fact

Kalpana i don't agree with you on this actually i have seen this and many of us see that India is developing for only few segments like Middle class and upper class. If we focus on government policies for growth all policies do not have much for lower segment and it is also true that our lower segment is not getting benefits of even those few policies which are set by government. For example- our literacy rate is not improving and from past 10 years it have increased by2-3 % why this? we are educated then why this slow growth rate of literacy rate? This is because the people living in rural areas cannot afford education and where there are governement schools there also condition is not good at all.
We are developing but what about the basic development of rural areas they dont have education facilities, heath facilities, employment etc.
I dont think if a leader spend a night in the home of a lower class or poor people this is enough for their growth and In case of development of India
Government must take some strong steps to improve conditions of rural areas so that balanced growth can be achieved.
