Is marriage necessary?

Marriage necessary or not needs to be further asked - for what? What is it that you are trying to achieve through marriage?

Marriage is necessary. Even if you exclude the spiritual, legal, and intra-relationship aspects (which I don't believe you can), it is a universal commitment made to the world (via proxy of family and friends) that signals you have chosen another person to be your life partner. The necessary aspects for society are to have a single method of doing this.

If not, you will have "I'm Married" vs "I'm bonded" vs "I'm partnered" vs "I'm dating" etc... each can have infinite meanings with no single social construct.

Today, if someone say's they are married, you know the basic social construct and meaning. (whether it is upheld is another matter).

Now, go back and include spiritual, legal, and intra-relationship aspects, and you have a wonderful rich and intrinsically flexible construct to make your own. How these are defined are up to you. That is the real beauty of marriage.

Yeah, for me marriage is necessary. But i will not call it a sacrifice, but instead, marriage is a sacred vow and a pure joy of two combined people who are trully in love with each other and who will surely make this society and future generation more healthy coz they are happy to find each other in this superficial and lonely world...

It must be admitted that when a man can follow advice of this nature it will generally be the better for him in the end; but we are dealing with human instincts and human passions that often go beyond control. The fact that we are for-bidden marriage because of economic or other reasons does not necessarily take us away from all associations with the opposite sex. And with a virile man such companionship is bound at times to arouse passions and desires that seek satisfaction. What is a man to do under such circumstances? The problem is indeed hard' to solve. The question involved in a situation of this kind is largely as to whether or not the man will be harmed through attempting to lead a continent life, or whether it would pay to incur the risks of disease that attend deviations from the paths of moral rectitude. In other words, are we to follow the usual policy and lay down a definite rule of strict continence to the men who cry for help under such circumstances?

yes, ,marriage is very necessary. both for a girl and a guy also.
u can stay in a live in relation. but, if u want to live life truly, then marriage is most important.
