Cats. They're cuter. Graceful too. And less trouble than dogs. They tend to leave you alone if you leave them alone, which is a boon in pets as much as in people.

i dont know who has this misconception that cats aren't loyal...meet my cat JOY and you'll understand.

I think we should relate this debate to genders. Cat as females and dogs as Men or another good perspective would be Cats as Female managers and Dogs as Male managers.

Now who is a better manager...the CAT or the DOG.

I support the cats, and not because I'm a girl. But if one were evaluate the level of commitment and loyalty in organization, then offcourse women are better. and hence most of the organizations prefer a women employee over men. they are ready to extend all kind of supports( flexible working hrs, maternity leaves) to retain them. while a male manager is mostly self-oriented, infuses lot of competitions feeling in his work group and bully around people while a women manager is far more understanding and takes along the group well and instills the feeling of integrity and honesty. shares the credit and recognises everyone's effort.

common girls and guys here, what are your perspectives on this issue???

kalpana has given a all together new turn to this topic..
i would support dogs...because they are faithful..and the world knows that..so as u say male managers are dogs,,so this implies that they are more faithful to the company..
moreover dogs protect your houses...similarly male managers protect their organisation from any kind of evils...dogs are hard workers,...male managers are thus hard workers too...dogs follow the masters instruction,,,so a male manager can be a better employee listening and obeying to his boss instructions....

Oh wow, Marketing Manager and BMS guru of Mp have just given a management perspective to a topic as common as which pet is better.

I'd say it completely depends on the organization, do you need lean mean cute looking cats ( marketing executives ) that help the organization gain better top lines or do you need faithful guarding dogs ( top management) that better the bottom lines ?

An organization would require both I assume, the immediate need of the organization determines the purchase of the pet.

Getting back to the original topic, it depends on what kind of person you are.. if you like a companion that never leaves you on your own, then go in for a dog. If you are looking at high maintenance but independent pet, then go for a cat

It is said that...

A dog loves its family n protect them so dat they grow and it can get more comforts too.
But a cat curse its family to get its members reduced in number so dat it can have the share of the leaving person.

Dogs are lovable. can be trained easily n guards yu also..

I like both cats & dogs but i'd prefer CATS for several reasons. Most important thing with cats is their 'free nature'. One can relax leaving them independent unlike dogs who get frustrated if not given special care & attention. Cats spread less mess than dogs and are more sensible & less noisy. One would prefer a cat's meow rather than a dog's loud annoying bark. Cats dont disturb us when we are busy working(say on computer @ home) rather they'll just lie down on our lap/feet and feel contented in their own way. However dogs always look for grabbing our attention which unnecessarily leads to disturbance.
Cats are thus 'free independent souls'.

Moving on; though being a guy, i am not against anyone or myself. I'd like to bring out the truth & reality. Not just managers but the fact is that women rule men as leaders. Its high time now, gone are the days when men were superior in terms of technicality or strategy formulations. Women managers/leaders are no less now. They are more stable, dedicated, less self-centered and more inclined towards company's growth unlike men. Men's self centered approach is their biggest strength & at the same time cause of their weakness.
