No...but better if you have done it...In academics it will help in securing higher positions and in the industrial organisations i will help to achive personal & organisational goals..

In my opinion, PhD in Mamagement is must for those engineers who want to go for academic jobs for management topics. For others, your engineering degree and MBA sufficient for your jobs in industry

No, not really, unless your target job demands specifically so that you should have some research experience etc. PhD won't do much help - in fact it is the effective application of whatever you've learnt in MBA - or the degree before that which would help. If you want to go to an institute as a faculty then you should be requiring a doctorate degree along with industry exposure.... but for corporate growth, experience is the key thing that counts..!! | | | |
