in my point of view both are two sides of same coin.KNOWLEDGE is incomplete without CONFIDENCE & CONFIDENCE is incomplete without KNOWLEDGE.So one must try to inherit both within him or her.reply below

I rightly agree with neha. Without knowledge a person can't have confidence & without confidence a person can't have zeal to increase his or her knowledge base. So both of them go hand in hand.
