Hi all... The latest developments give all different kinds of benfit.. so lets struggle on this one now..... ------->>>>>>>>> Our learning styles can be broadly classified as Reflective Observation ,
Abstract Conceptualization , Active Experimentation and Concrete Experience.
Each one of us has a predominant learning style through which we tend to
absorb the training material presented to us . The training that addresses
all four learning styles will be the most successful training method .
As we can see , neither e learning nor classroom learning cover all the
aspects of successful training methods . thus comparing them with each other
is not going to lead us much farther . Are oranges better than apples ?
Depends on what you want to have - citric juice or iron . The answer is
based on our requirement at that time .
E learning is useful when there is a lot of ready made , tried and tested
text book material available which requires little or no explanation and can
be absorbed by the learner at his own pace . Class room learning is useful
in subjects where a subject is at exploratory state and needs to be dealt
with in hands on manner . For example say a company like Eureka Forbes for
vacuum cleaner salesmen . The basic training , manuals , diagrams , etc can
be conveyed and tested through e learning while sales call techniques can be
polished in class room training .
The training loop here will be as follows
Do the homework using e learning ( Abstract conceptualization and Reflective
Observation )
Come with questions to class and get them solved ( Abstract
Conceptualization )
learn selling techniques in the classroom both theory and dummy practicals
Abstract conceptualization , Reflective Observation , Active
Experimentation )
Go to the field and practice it ( Active Experimentation and Concrete
Experience )
Learn from the experience ( Concrete Experience , Abstract conceptualization
and Reflective Observation )
Modify the technique and go through the loop again . Best Regards,
Nikhil Gadodia

There are a lot of benefits for e-learning. e-learning have the following benefits: E-learning can save money ,E-learning can provide a paperless environment. E-learning has more mobility and portable. The teaching materials of e-learning are easy to be store. The contents of e-learning are easier to understand. There is higher accessibility of e-learning contents.
but it cannot compete with conventional learning... bosphysical presence is more effective rather than sitting in front of the computer... we get to interact a lot with other students etc... i dont think so it will substitute conventional learning To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 0 or greater. hi
i totaly agree with u
we can not study as much as we can in class room with our teachers an friends.
the study invironment should be interactive so that we can put our point and get the problems solved directly.
and personaly i feel that i can seat only for 2-3 hrs infront for PC then how about the time of school or college where we seat for more than 4-5 hrs. e-learning should definitely be encouraged but not to substitute the presence of the student in the class...the discussion and sharing of ideas are best when they are in person.

classroom learning can never been replaced. its difficult to interact in e learning.u do not come 2 know what others think. if interactions are made, one understands the topic better. reading in front of pc for long can result in optics. | | | | | | | | Active Manager
