Hi Friends,

Just spend two minutes in reading this.... if u r really concerned about our Nation..

The Truth:

A cold drink that costs only 70/80 paise to produce is sold for NINE rupees, and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad.
This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.

Did you know that " COCA COLA " and " SPRITE " belong to the same multinational company, " COCA COLA " ?

What can you do ?
You can consider some of the better alternatives to aerated drinks.

For that matter PEPSI is also the same
For instance the price of coke = Rs10..
The cost of productionfiltered = Re 1.
For whole sale dealer the profit = Re 1.
And for retailer = Rs 0.50
The remaining is = Rs7.50
We give seven and a half rupees to a foreign country in a single bottle of coke..
Consider how much sales we hav in our country in a single day...
Here after Jus Think and act..

You can drink LEMON JUICE, FRESH FRUIT JUICES, CHILLED LASSI (SWEET OR SOUR), BUTTER MILK, COCONUT WATER, ENERJEE, MASALA MILK........ ..
This Will benefit us and our poor farmers who depend on agriculture. .

Everyone deserves a healthy drink, including you!
Over and above all this, economic sanctions have been imposed on us. We have nothing against
Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only for next two years.
With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this,the rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.

What you can do about it ?

1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.

Each individual should become a leader for this awareness.
This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis.
You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.
BUY INDIAN TO BE INDIAN.
Every INDIAN product you buy makes a big difference. It saves INDIA .

thanx vishal 4 dis eye opener.... even after globalisation, i think d interests of our nation shud b protected. der is an altenative 2 everythin. its time we follow gandhian princples of "use of swadeshi goods"

well it is easier said than done... I think with the increasing awareness, so many people know the side effects of these aerated drinks. However, in how many shops do u see dairy products like butter milk or a chilled lassi.... The production and marketting of these items is a very small percentage of these aerated drinks. So, whenever u enter into a shop, all u can see is pepsi, cola, etc lying around.

So unless indian companies like Amul and other steep up the production and merketing of dairy products, this problem cant get solved to much extent.

Once the consumer, can find the alternative easily available, he/she would naturally switch his/her choice !!

I have already stopped havin cola's ... but its not for the reason that they are multinational , its for the reason that it isnt healthy..

As per the above said facts, 7.50 is pocketed by multinationals . That is ofcourse production wise.

Where are the calculations of marketing, promotions and advertisements?

well... i have neva had colas... but thats not d end. der r many more foreign poducts like aerated drinks which sell like anythin in india n d pockets of outsiders r filled!!! thats whr we need 2 think.... we have 2 support our own brands
