In general the MOT test is to ensure the minimum road safety and environmental standards. The parts which are checked in MOT test are Bonnet Catch, Brakes, Doors, Exhaust System, Fuel System, Horn, Lights, Mirrors, Registration Plates, Seat Belts, Seats, Steering, Suspension, Tires & Wheels, Vehicle Structure, and Windscreen.

The most important information is

1) All UK cars 3 years old or more require a valid MOT certificate by law.

2) Road Tax cannot be renewed without a current MOT.

3) Vehicles may be submitted for an MOT up to 28 days before the test is due.

4) MOT's take approximately 1 hour to complete.

5) If your vehicle fails, we will notify you of all necessary repairs, together with the cost to correct them.
