Mp - A critique's view or is it a hard core supporter?

Its been almost two years i think.. since i first visited this site..

Let me give some background.. which probably give some weightage to the mail...

I completed my bms three years back..
When i joined Mp i was working for a research company and was editor incharge for an E Magaizine..
I used to be working from home and be online for around 16 hours on an average
With time i explored 1000 of sites and registered 80% of those
but remain active with only a few of those
I had decided that i wanted to be very active member at mp...
and so i decided with a few other sites..
the other sites.. some related to management... HR... MObiles... Gossip/Humour... Harry Potter.. all of these i could remain active comfortably.. but it never happened with MP..
and i dont know why..
but there are some things with never made me stick here for more than 20-25 minutes..
Today am making an effort to point some of the possible reasons which made me go away.
1. The overall feel of the site... dont know.. but it's really boring..
i remember the SRK movie.. Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani... and visualise Kartik as Satish shah or Kulbhushan... who does not want to waste a single inch where he can advertise and is not... no matter how slow the site can get and how much inconviniece it would cost
2. The structure of the posts... everthing cluttered in the same posts
man.. visit other forums... they are way way up in terms of organising stuff..
again.. the base forum that u use... the most common is phb and Invision... the one that u are using.. does not even allow to edit one's own post... how can u call it good?
3. NO ground rules of posting..
multiple posts are strickly banned
Advertisements in signatures is a strick no no in most forums
i also noticed a high resolution 100 kb photograph of an actress which takes ages to download.. and open repeatedly taking up 1/2 the screen space (mind u.. i use 1024 resolution and not 800-600) why is it required?

4. Another thing.. as soon as we register.. one gets a tag line of aalsi manager...
Who gives the moderator to give such a tag to the member..
its the customers world.. u can never abuse him...
infact by coming online.. visiting ur site.. and registering he is proving that he is not aalsi
and
jst because he does not contribute to Mp.. u cant classify him as aasli.. first MP has to prove to the member that its worth contributing... and frankly am still waiting...
i know what the hits have been... but still list out 25 members who are ready to contribute to this after they pass out.. and u will be left counting
5. lastly..If there is so much advertisement which is happening.. there is must be good amount of money made... where are the accounts.. its the age of transperancy... right??

there could be 10 more things that i can point out..
but i dont know what the reactiong to this things could be..
i dont even to know that i would be motivated enough to come and check the responses.. but i believe that these points would help
hope when i come back.. i would find atleast 25 responses to the mail and some of the things taken care of..

Am observing Kartik is online on this section since some time.. that suggests he is all prepare his sets of responses.. for all of the questions..
but before u reply and logically explain all ur justifications...

u dont have to justify..
all u have to is.. keep ur mind open and read the above points again...

Kartik u have done a grt job in taking the initiative and continue with it for this long... now set the sails right... and the wind will take to the right direction..

Finally a critique ..

Vishal bhaiya visits this forum after many years and bashes the hell out of it.. without any past background..

Its all good.. as long as it directs us for something better.. though i would like to say few things

Let me answer them one by one ...

1. The overall feel of the site... dont know.. but it's really boring..

Site is slow agreed.. because the servers are slow.. the traffic it serves is about 21,71,339 hits a month. And the bandwidth it utilised, you cannot imagine Siree. Either I spend lakhs per year on a server or i go with what we have.. the second option is the only choice because i cant spend lakhs.

We are using vbulletin, which is much better and secure than any other forum software. The edit option was chucked off because some members typed some stuff and then edited it as if they never said whatever the post earlier.

We dont like to force unnecessary rules. There are not many moderators.

There isnt much money vishal... Even the Free CD's that we distributed were from my pocket We are still trying to recover that much amount of money.

PS : Before you decided to bash the hell out of forum.. you couldve just had a small chat with me . Its much better that way you know

it was not bashing... it was some stuff which i wanted to write since ages ... but was motivated enought.. again because of same reasons..

and yes i know u would prefer that on the chat or phone to discuss these things.. but i have a differnt agenda
i wanna see the strenght of MP
i.e apart from Kartik Raichura
how many ppl would respond to that mail
when i say respond.. does not mean.. i agree.. i disagree and stuff such as that..
but respond where in they add their points..
bash back at me.. where there my points are not valid enough...
and believe me.. if there less than 20 ppl responding*out of the total 2023 registered members...there is lot of work to be done..

hey vishall... thts the way u feel...not all...if we want and get good offers 2 put in ads..we wil definitely go for it... it isnt tht Kartik or mp.com as a whole dosnt want 2 put ne space for advt.. if it was so...kartik woudnt hv keep a left side section 2 advt thr ...tht contact him for postin ur Advts..

i dnt think so..the structure is cluttered.. if it was..we hv a section of feed bacs whr u hv postd this.. members would hv replied out here 2 change or better the strcuture...no 1 has yet done tht...so i dnt think...this point of urs is valid..

as kartik said... the CD;s tht were ditributed all over in BMS and MBA colgs. had cost more thn 40K for 2000 CDs, and as far as the account money is concerned..all the mods r aware of the Bank Ac and 2 tell u..we r still far away in recovering the 40K amt...and also 2 tel u...this site wasnt opend 2 earn a handsome amt of money via business...and hence we dnt hv much 2 show n not req also...


there could be 10 more things that i can point out..


plz mention ur other 10 pints..we wanna knw..
