2. The Project involves a selected topic for an applied activity approved and supervised by the student's Major Advisor. Although an Advisory Committee is not required for the Project option, one may be formed.
The Project is an opportunity for students who want to write a comprehensive review article, describe a comprehensive case study, or develop a program that addresses a practical problem, and present and defend research results.

A student electing to complete the Thesis option must register for the course( cap stone)

Rationale for Thesis Research
The Thesis is an important experience, available in the final phase of the Masters degree program. The Core and Elective courses are designed to contribute to the basic objective of providing opportunities for students to develop the competencies necessary to assume professional responsibilities in the field of choice / specialisation.

The Thesis is an additional opportunity to conduct in-depth research that has significance for the field.
It is an individualized learning experience, expanding the student’s understanding of materials and methods covered during their graduate course of study, and promoting their professional growth.
The specific goals for the Thesis should be clearly articulated and understood, by both the student and the Major Advisor.

Objectives of Thesis Research
Successful completion of the Thesis option for the degree will allow the student to achieve the following goals:
1. Apply theories, concepts and techniques learned in the courses of study within the MBA program.
2. Integrate classroom theory with research experiences.
3. Make a meaningful contribution to the existing body of knowledge in the field of specialisation.


4. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of scientific inquiry and research design, and apply these principles to critically reading and interpreting scientific literature.

5. Complete a scientific and technical paper that delineates the topic addressed, why it was worthy of study, the steps undertaken in the research process, and how the research activity and process were critically evaluated.

Advisory Committee
a. The student must select a Major Advisor with Graduate Faculty status.
b. The student, in collaboration with the Major Advisor, must then select at least two other Advisory Committee members with Graduate Faculty status.

Selection of project
The student initiates the process for Thesis Research by determining a topic of interest that will contribute to the existing base of knowledge
The student is encouraged to consult the Graduate Faculty within the department regarding areas of research or activities that would be suitable for Thesis Research.
Approval of the Thesis Proposal by the Advisory Committee,
The oral presentation of Thesis Proposal should incorporate audio/visual aids that reflect the available /current technology.

1.The student assumes the responsibility for learning in a self-directed manner.
2. The Major Advisor should provide professional level guidance to the student.
3. The student must collaborate with the Advisory Committee and be an active participant in planning their Thesis experience. Typically this includes, but is not limited to, discussing goals, objectives, research topics, and the methods of evaluation for the Thesis with the Major Advisor or, if necessary, with other members of Advisory Committee.

Research Methodology
The student should collect and analyze data according to the methods described in the Thesis Proposal.
A written Thesis manuscript should be produced in accordance with the Thesis Guidelines of the University.

4. The student is expected to apply the theories, concepts and techniques learned during the required course of study.
5. The student must identify and master the relevant literature pertinent to their Thesis Research and must conceptualize a research problem.
6. The student must apply principles of research design to the problem or hypotheses being studied.
7. The student must learn to use instruments and/or apparatus necessary for the conduct of the research study.

The student must learn to use the necessary tools for analysis of the data.
The student must describe and present the research in a professionally appropriate written and oral format.
The student and Major Advisor should maintain a mentoring relationship.
Throughout the process, the student must maintain communication with the Advisory Committee.

Writing the thesis
Introduce the topic via an

Summarize the scientific literature of related studies Review of literature within 5 years
Usage of the tense
c. The Thesis Proposal should be written in the future tense and
the Thesis should be written in the past tense. The first person (i.e., "I", "we", etc.)should not be used in either case, and students should appear to be neutral.
Materials and methods
Summarize the materials including subjects, location ( the size of the sample)
data (or sample) collection, and
data (or sample) analysis used to conduct the study.
Format
A thesis is usually composed of three main parts: preliminaries, text, and references. Preliminaries are paged with small Roman numerals. Text and references are paged with Arabic numerals.

Summary
Summarize the results of the study. Discuss and summarize the conclusions (with any recommendations) of the study. Use visual aids such as transparencies, 35mm slides, computer software, etc.
TYPING
Type style should be Times New Roman, or a font that approximates it, and either 10 or 12 point type.
A thesis must be printed from a computer. The original copy must be of letter-quality with an evenly dense and dark print line.
Laser printers are preferred. The original must be on the paper specified above and not on regular computer paper.
Style
Students not given special directions by their departments regarding style are referred to the following publications:

Margins
Leave a 1 1/2 inch margin on the left side and a 1 inch margin on the right side, the top, and the bottom.

Numbering of Pages
Number each page, except the abstract pages and the title page. Preliminary pages are numbered with small Roman numerals and centered at the bottom of each page. In the text and reference topics sections, place the number in the upper right-hand corner, 3/4 inch below the top and 1 inch from the right side.
Tables
Generally captions should appear at the bottom of the tables. Check with your Departmental Graduate Committee or Advisor for the preferred style to be used.
Style 1
Center the word "TABLE" in capital letters, followed by an Arabic numeral. Center the caption two lines below the table number, and type the caption in capital letters.

Oversized illustrations, such as maps, tables, etc. may be photographically reduced to fit the 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet.
Charts, graphs, diagrams, drawings, and photographs may be in black and white or color. If an illustration must be turned on the page, the top must be on the left.

Thanks for sharing such a nice information on writing a project proposal and it is going to be very useful for many people. I am also uploading a presentation which will give some more information on the subject and moreover as we know that a project proposal is a request for financial assistance to implement a project.
