What caught my attention was, what was written in that novel about Noetic Science - that it is a science of intution, thoughts...
And then I realized that to some extent it is, indeed, real:
Imagine you are walking down the road and casually thinking about something or someone, and at the very next instance that something or someone appears. It doesn't happen quite often, but it does happen, once in a blue moon
The novel says that if a lot of people come together and think about something, the chances of that thing happening increases dramatically...
Do you think this is SANE or IN-SANE....?

In a bid to make a turn-around, the ailing airline has planned to avoid 20 unprofitable routes and will reduce its fleet strength to 90 from the current 146.

It is also planning to offer 'leave without pay' and voluntary retirement plans to some of its employees to cut costs and increase efficiency and profitability amid slowdown.

With these planned moves, the troubled airline is trying to impress the central government as it is seeking an additional equity of around Rs.5,000 cr to manage the on-going financial crisis.

As part of its cost-cutting plans, it is also hopeful of lowering its annual Rs.3,500 cr wage bill, which will again help the airline to come out of the danger zone.

It is to be noted that the global airline industry has been ruined by the on-going economic slowdown, which caused a drastic fall in the domestic and international demand for air-traffic.

Indian airlines remained no exception. Air India failed to survive the economic downturn and suffered a net loss of over Rs.5,000 cr in 2008-09.
