Many top B schools in India are offering executive MBA courses. These include IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS (Faculty of Management Studies) University of Delhi, IIM Kolkata, Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad, IMT Ghaziabad, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management studies (JBIMS), S. The executive MBA programme in India include various niche specializations that are being available to students for study. Since students of the executive MBA programme are the ones who are more or less going to remain in the same industry they worked, it is best for B-schools to offer different specializations that cater to their specific industry.

Re: Executive MBA in India - January 19th, 2010

yes i agree it is making pg in diploma more accessable to the working genre of candidates. With the current limitation of our indian education system and social responsibilities it was due time when executive education came into play. Though i still feel that it needs more time before it really is on the line of executive and not just cramping the usual PGDBM/MBA curriculum in one year

An executive MBA is usually a one year full time MBA or a three year part time MBA that is specially designed for executives, mid level managers and entrepreneurs. However there are options to do it part time, online or even through the distance learning mode. The online and the distance learning programs also give you the option of stretching it over a longer period of time which provides flexibility to the candidates.
