Exclamation Supply chain rules of the future - March 18th, 2016

On-demand is now becoming a really huge trend.

And I speak from my last 1 year of daily experiences with Ahataxis, where 70% of outstation trips are for today or tomorrow! No planning, no advance booking, no fear of stuff running out - people are really living in the instant. As a business, either you keep saying no to on-demand, keep higher prices for urgent requirements (surge ;-)), or develop technology and team to cater to TATKAL bookings, but you simply cant ignore it. Supply chain rules will be rewritten, manufacturing fundamentals will go for a toss and a new normal will be born - and only the tenacious will survive.
What are your predictions on the supply chain rules of the future.
