Communication skill is not only a necessity but also a competitive skill which is required in this job. This is the one important skill on which the entire job rests. The candidates even though having a high educational qualification will not even be considered if they lack in the communication areas. Since the business involves dealing with international clients, communication skills should be excellent.

In order to build a successful career in this industry apart from the communication skills the individuals should also have good computer knowledge, listening skills, ability to deal various situations effectively. The type of skills which are needed depends mainly on the type of projects that one normally gets involved in. Whatever be the reasons, communication skills enjoy a predominant position in this job area.

Any person who gets engaged in this job area whether fresher or experienced will get formal training in sections like accent, slang’s to be used, interaction skills, call centre terminologies etc to be used etc. The candidates will also be given adequate training in the product areas also where in they will be able to deal with the customers effectively. The training period will depend again on the type of projects that an individual gets involved in.
