Leadership Game


Hi

Let us start a game involving leadership

Imagine you are a leader and your team member is planning to quit

we should give him one positive sentence which can be convincing...the next member will think as a team member and give a rating as to how convincing it was...then give another statement...we will roll it like this and see how many convincing statements can there be...and also we should be open to any comments on our own leadership styles

my objective is to look a the patterns of leadership each one is into based on the cognitive style, perceptive style and skill

Next Member can take over

Hey gaurav,

Dont worry. I will start n u follow the rolling balls.

Suppose my Team member is leaving. First of all , I will ask the reason for leaving and probably i will offer him promotion.
If he doesn't get agrees then I will change his/her Job profile.
Well this all depends on the situation. Why he is leaving his Job?
So prakash_dudes there is something missing in Game.
You have to give the case and then we will give the suggestion for that particular situation.
On the Basis of above statement you can judge the leadership skills.
Well Kuch zyada he ho gaya. But I said what I feel.
Anyways Good game.

If I was a team member about to quit and my manager told me "The show must go on" it would not encourage me to stay on his/her team.

How about this:
"For every choice made, is a possibility lost."

Of course in a real life situation, the manager will have to convince the team member of the great possibilities that is ahead for the team member, which will likely require more then one sentence.

If i were the leader and a team member is PLANNING to quit. i would treat him as as ADULT and tell him that i dont wanna know why he wanna quit,as it maybe hard on his part to answer it. rather i'll say this... "Rest if you must but don't quit on yourself"..

ofcouce u must know the reason why he is quitin wat if u as a leader r wrong or doing somethin that should not be done so u will know the reason n then if u cant hold him back u can atleast improve
if the person who is leavin has a good record n has been a active member i would not want to lose such a asset so i would ask for the reason n try to improve on it
or else give him a pay rise or promotion do job rotation or something of that sought
