Great Lakes and NASMEI to organize its international Marketing Conference

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, India and the North American Society for Marketing Education in India (NASMEI) will hold an international marketing conference at GRT Grand Days Conference Center in Chennai, India on December 22-23, 2008. The theme of the conference is “Creating, Communicating, and Delivering Value.”

The event is sponsored by Kotler Srinivasan Center for Research in Marketing at Great Lakes. The conference co-chairs are Dr. V. “Seenu” Srinivasan, Stanford University, USA and Prof. S. Sriram, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, India. Dr.Dipak Jain, Dean, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA will be the keynote speaker.

Research papers related to creating value (market research, competitive analysis, product, service, pricing), communicating value (consumer behavior, branding, advertising, personal selling, promotion), delivering value (channels management, wholesaling, retailing, CRM, web-based marketing), and their integration (marketing strategy, competitive strategy, marketing processes, marketing organization) will be presented.

This academic marketing conference will serve as a platform for faculty and doctoral students to showcase and share their insights and findings on consumer behavior, branding, marketing communication, market research, retailing, services marketing, marketing strategy, and other topics.

This Annual event by Kotler Srinivasan Center for Research in Marketing at Great Lakes is being held for the second successive year. This year, participants are expected from the Wharton School, University of Texas, University of Southern California, University of South Carolina, University of Science and Technology, University of Newcastle, MICA, Ahmedabad, IMT Nagpur, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, MDI Gurgaon, IIT Madras, and many others.

Participation is by registration only. Registration fees are Rs. 2,500 for participants from India. Students can register for Rs. 1,000 each. Registration for participants from outside India will be U.S. $125. The charges include lunch and tea on both days, dinner at the end of the first day, and conference materials. The registration fee does not include accommodation or any other meals or travel expenses.
